以前介绍过凯尔特神话，关于魔枪布留那库之中有过介绍光之神卢的儿子库·夫林所活跃的阿鲁斯塔神话。这一期沿着前章介绍库·夫林以及他的武器贪欲之枪迦耶伯格。
阿鲁斯塔神话作为凯特尔神话的代表，集合了达娜神话与菲拉娜神话。该神话以爱尔兰为舞台，主要描写库·夫林的事迹。
并不仅仅只是光之神卢的儿子，他还留下了很多的英雄与神奇的事迹，首先从他的出生说起吧。
在某年的冬季，阿鲁斯塔的国王寇诺尔与他的妹妹迪希提娜公主一起前去治退毁坏庄稼的鸟。在赶鸟的途中，不知道过了多少时间，天空也下起雪来。他们一行便在一个被称为妖精之丘的地方上建的一所民家躲避风雪。
民家里所住的夫妇非常的亲切。在寇诺尔住的那晚，夫妇生下了一个儿子。并且是同一夜，在小屋里的马也生下了两头小马。天亮后在寇诺尔醒来发现房屋与那对亲切的夫妇都不见了，只有哪个婴儿与两匹小马在那里。虽然感到不可思议，但是寇诺尔与迪希提娜还是将婴儿与小马带了回去，并将他们养大。
但是哪个婴儿却不巧的死去。迪希提娜感到十分悲伤，并将身边玻璃杯中的水一饮而尽，但是水里有一条奇妙的虫在里面，并且寄宿到了她的身体里。当晚，迪希提娜梦到光之神卢出现，并且对她说“迪希提娜啊，哪个在你身边死去的婴儿是我的孩子，很可惜他死去了，但是他会再次的出生，他现在就寄宿在你的身体内。如果降生将他取名为塞坦塔，那两匹马作为他的战车的马来养育”。在做了这个梦后迪希提娜便怀了孕，不久就产下一个小孩，并且遵从梦中的话将他取名为塞坦塔。
在塞坦塔7岁的时候，阿鲁斯塔王在库林的公馆召开宴会，途中看到塞坦塔十分熟练的玩袋球。看到他高超的技艺，阿鲁斯塔王作为奖赏邀请塞坦塔在比赛结束后参加宴会。
但是宴会开始后他忘记了邀请过塞坦塔，并且吩咐馆主库林放出猎犬。这些猎犬是令库林十分喜爱的猎犬，据说拥有与100只普通狗匹敌的力量，就算是10名战士也不能打倒。
在宴会举办到一半的时候，他们听到了在院中狗的叫声。宴会的出席者们惊恐的向庭院望去，看到了空手打败猎犬的塞坦塔。塞坦塔说“要是这些狗有小狗的话，我也要养出象这些狗一样优秀的猎犬出来。并且在这些猎犬养出来之前，库林公馆的警卫就由我来承担。”被这话感染的出席者们纷纷称赞他，并送他库夫林的称号（库林的猛犬），以后这就成为了他的名字。

不久库·夫林成为了青年，并且爱上了佛加尔领主的女儿爱玛，但是爱玛却说希望库·夫林能够成为更强的战士，而拒绝了他的求爱。并且爱玛的父亲佛加尔很讨厌库·夫林，希望他死去，便告诉他“去影之国那里巫女史卡莎利那里能够得到更大的修行，如果成功的话就把爱玛嫁给你”。
听了这话的库·夫林单身前往影之国。途中遇到了，谁也无法通过的无底的沼泽，光之神卢现身给他了发出火焰的车轮将沼泽变干通过；而在想度过时就会上下跳动的桥的时候，以超乎常人的速度与跳跃力瞬间在桥跳起的时候度过；并且打倒了在史卡莎利城里的大批魔物。
库·夫林的表现很令史卡莎利满意，不仅仅教他了魔法与武艺，在他归国的时候还送他魔枪迦耶伯格。平安归国的库·夫林得到了爱玛的认可，（虽然她父亲仍然反对）两人结了婚。

库·夫林作为“赤枝骑士团”的团长，使用这把枪立下了无数功勋。
迦耶伯格的命名是根据ga bool'ga（锯齿状的投石武器），并且有闪电的意思。详细的虽然不太清楚，但是史卡莎利用海兽（不知道是什么怪兽）的骨头所制作而成。
虽然投掷枪给人的印象是非常轻巧的，但是迦耶伯格却是十分的巨大，身心都得到锻炼的库·夫林才能够使用吧。
在战场上使用迦耶伯格时，枪并不直接飞向敌人而是前端飞出30多只箭矢，将铠甲盾牌刺穿，简直就是象霰弹枪一样的武器。据说用脚投出去的话（用踢？？）威力会倍增。
不过从能够使威力倍增这样用脚来投掷的奇特的投掷法来看，有了迦耶伯格不是枪的名称，而是使用魔力的投掷术的说法。
神话故事里，描写的战争中，库·夫林一天能打倒100人的士兵，这些也是多亏了迦耶伯格的功劳吧。

凯尔特战士都会立下誓言后开始生活，打破誓言后就会毁灭自己。库·夫林的誓言是“绝对不吃狗肉”“不会拒绝身份低微的人提供的食物”“不能违背诗人的话”，而他的敌人梅瓦利用了这一点，指示一些低微的人让他吃了狗肉，又指示父亲被库·夫林杀死的诗人雷乌，使他放开了手中的迦耶伯格。
破坏了誓言的库·夫林失去了力量，放开了手中的迦耶伯格，雷乌对枪做下了“向着国王”的诅咒并将梅瓦为他准备好的3把枪投了出去。第一把枪刺穿了库·夫林的国王雷古，第二把枪刺穿了库·夫林的爱马马哈，第三把枪贯穿了库·夫林。库·夫林的内脏被打飞出来，但是并没有马上死去，他慢慢走到近处的石柱那里站着慢慢的停止了呼吸。
后记：这把魔枪 贪欲之枪．迦耶伯格从库夫林手中被夺去,但无人能用,最后下落不明.....
